Autumn in London

London is one of the most well-known cities in the world, especially because of Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, where royalty lives. It is also the second most visited town by tourists. But when is the charm of this city most visible and delightful? There’s only one right answer- in autumn.

Polish, golden’’ autumn is characterized by fiery colours of leaves and beautiful sunshine in a clear sky, it’s also the best opposite of fall in London, known as foggy, windy, rainy and completely not sunny. It might be bizarre to read that but that type of weather makes London look magical, climatic and wonderful in all its glory. One of the most stunning views is when evening comes, the sky is getting darker and all the lights in the city are glowing amazingly warming up cool weather with its appearance. At that moment Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Nothing Hill and Tower Bridge look divine.

Let’s not forget about green places such as Hyde or Regent’s Park which are the essence of nice walks while discovering London. If you want to admire autumn colours of leaves like yellow, red and orange or have a look at many squirrels running to people feeding them nuts come to any park and enjoy. I suppose that most of you are also fond of the smell of apples, cinnamon and spices. If I’m right you’ll be pleased to visit London coffee shops where you can find a special autumn menu offering apple pies, cinnamon rolls, pumpkin or carrot cakes, infusions and coffee with spices. The interiors of these cafes are always gorgeously decorated with leaves, pumpkins, lights and other things connected with fall. Those seemingly small decorations make all coffee shops look cosy and pretty. Speaking of appearance, it is worth mentioning about shop sites, especially exclusive ones such as Dior, Chanel, Ralph Lauren or Cartier. Every global brand makes outstanding autumn collections which are even more emphasized on the shop site where charming clothes and jewellery are perfectly composed with colours, backgrounds, details, light and poses of mannequins. That view is breathtaking – believe me.

As I have already hinted English fall is cold, windy and rainy but for Londoners it’s not a problem. In spite of nasty weather, they are spending time with friends laughing outside the pubs and restaurants or having the time of their lives while having a picnic with a family. Maybe they got used to dark clouds and fog but I think they’re just celebrating every day like hardly anybody.

If you can’t stand routine, daily stress and everyday life or just want to see the stunning city in the most magical time of the year, come to London, a place where time stops – you won’t be disappointed.
